competency gives organizations a better understanding in hiring decisions, employing and retaining employees. The purpose of the present research is to investigate the effect of competence on the performance of Aja Strategic Studies Center employees with the organizational transformation approach. This research is quantitative in terms of method and of cause and effect type and is practical in terms of purpose. The statistical population is the employees of AJA Strategic Studies Center who have been working in this center since the year of its establishment, which includes 120 people and using Cochran's formula, 92 people were randomly selected. Liang et al.'s 2013 employee competency questionnaires and Shabani's 2013 employee performance questionnaires were used to collect information. The analysis was done with descriptive and inferential statistics with SPSS-26 software. The findings indicate the significant positive effect of competence and its components on the performance of employees and its components in AJA Strategic Studies Center with an organizational transformation approach. Competence of employees on performance in this center not only helps to improve the individual performance of employees, but also helps to improve the performance and achieve the strategic goals of the organization by making fundamental changes in the organizational structure and culture.
